Description
The most prevelant whale along the Northwest Coast is the Orca, also known as the Killer Whale. However, it was the humpback and California grey whales that were most often hunted. The whale is a source of spiritual strength. There is nothing more exciting to avid whale watchers from Alaska to Mexico to spot a whale’s tail. The whale’s tail is symbol of luck, strength and speed. The widest recorded whale’s tail (from a blue whale) was 25 ft.5.25” tall.
