Anchor Point Beach
I love this picture of my daughter modeling our Alaska Girls - Organic and Wild hoodie. I love the way the colors on the hoodie capture the colors in the scene, I love remembering the fun day we spent on the beach at Anchor Point (between Soldotna and Homer on the Kena Peninsula), and I love how it expresses her organic and wild personality. I took the picture below of my son wearing his Dam It shirt while fishing in the Anchor River that day.

Life in Alaska

The Once in a Blue Moose elife writers wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. We love living in Alaska and wanted to share some of the things that each of us are thankful for this year.

I am thankful for the chance to visit our capital city of Juneau. My mom was born and raised in Juneau in 1923. It was a real thrill to see the areas she called home. Above is the church at the Shrine of St. Theresa that was finished in 1938. -- Cheryl

For me, time in the wilderness brings inner peace and serenity. I'm thankful to live in a place where natural beauty abounds and is close at hand. I'm thankful that I can take pictures of moose out my kitchen window. I'm thankful for wonderful family members to join me on hikes and great kids who will still "play" with Mom and Dad. -- Carmen

I am thankful for my life in Alaska because of the bounty of natural beauty and numerous outdoor escapades to be had. Whether I am fishing, cross country skiing, hiking, or admiring one of our many glaciers, I always find a good reason to get out of the “big city” (Anchorage) and “into the wild”. -- Kyla

Iʼm thankful for being able to live in a place where traditions of yesterday are still alive today and where the vast wilderness is just a stoneʼs throw away. (Mt.
